Student of the Month Lydia & Spring Sing

Another week gone by already . . . how does that happen so fast!?!  We had fun on Tuesday with the Rodgers family.  Mike teaches Alex guitar lessons, Charity & I just like to talk and the girls played dress-up the whole time.  They even put on a play for us (with several costume changes of course).

Lydia was student of the month for her class this month.  They are celebrating the virtue of citizenship this month and her teacher, Mrs. McKinney, wrote that she was giving her the award because, "she is a hard worker and a good listener.  Lydia is kind and considerate to her classmates.  She strives to do her best and sets an excellent example for others.  Good job!"  Way to go Lydia!

On Thursday, was the school Spring Sing.  Brad & Carter did an outstanding job singing their little hearts out.  Friday, I was able to have a little outing with our friend Marta Campbell.  We went to a quilt show at the Gilbert Historical Museum.  She is an amazing seamstress and it was fun learn from her.  Saturday we cleaned out bedrooms.  It was very exciting.  We also went swimming with Carter's friend Calder.  As for today (Sunday) . . . sweet is the peace the gospel brings.
The Rodgers & Matheson princesses: Naomi, Eve, Violet, Lydia & Kira.

Student of the month Lydia!

Lydia & Eve.

Eve & Lydia were the main photographers at Spring Sing.  They have a very unique style.

Carter was spotted in the crowd.  The concert dress-code is red, white or blue shirts and the boys get excited about wearing Dad's flag ties.  I think the goal is to be a look-alike to Mr. Lee the principal.

Bradley dutifully keeping his eye on the conductor.  If I understood right he's standing next to his arch-enemy.

Miss Camille had a great time strutting her stuff in big sister Lydia's shoes.  Camille found both the tights & sweater in her room and brought them to me to put on.  She's got style.
