Christmas 2012!

What a wonderful Christmas day!  It was fun to have a whole day to just relax and enjoy being together with absolutely nothing scheduled.  The kids were all super excited about their gifts and super sweet and grateful too which was just icing on the cake.  We opened presents in the morning and then Alex cooked us a fantastic breakfast.  Then we ran over to Grandma & Grandpa Matheson's to see cousin Sadie's presents and share ours.  In the afternoon the kids watched a movie while Alex and I ran over to say hi to our friends Mike & Charity Rodgers.  Then we were back together for a yummy dinner.
Eve, Lydia, Camille, Brad & Carter waiting to come upstairs to check out their gifts.

Had to put this picture in cause it captured the "Ooooo" from Camille at her new stroller and Lydia's squeal of delight at her new bike which she promptly named Misty.  Eve also got a stroller from Santa and Brad and Carter got Ninjago lego sets.

Enjoying the goods.

Brad got everyone's stockings down for them.  Someone had left a sock out for me too and Santa kindly filled it as well as brought me a new chair that matches our kitchen chairs so now we actually have enough matching chairs for everyone -- until the baby comes, that is.

Evie-believie always has a wonderful smile.

Lydia shows off her stocking feet as well has her other stocking loot.

Eve and Lydia.  Lydia got an umbrella from one of her siblings and it's been a hit.

Mom & Camille.  We really enjoyed the See's candy from Uncle Lincoln.  And, I've really enjoyed my Christmas present from Alex -- the Bosch mixer that I've wanted for many a year now.

Lydia gave Camille this Christmas book and she loved reading it with Dad.

Lydia, Eve, Carter & Brad build a lego house for Eve out of her new lego set.

Eve, Camille, Mom, Lydia.  I started these quilts for the girls when I was pregnant with Camille.  2 1/2 years later I managed to finish them just in the nick of time for Christmas.  So now the girls have their mom-hug / name quilts just like the boys.  The boys have now informed me that their quilts are getting too small and they need new ones . . . maybe in a few years.

Camille & Eve loved their new doll strollers.  Eve's only concern was that she'd asked Santa for a baby doll too and he said he'd bring one.  "Why did hims not bring me a doll cause he said he would?"  I think she's forgiven him.

Grandma & Grandpa Matheson started a new tradition this year and gave all the kids an ornament and a box to keep their collection in.  Brad and Carter both got scouts, Lydia a girl on a bike, Eve a cowgirl on her horse, Camille a reindeer and the new baby a heart.
