Carter's 9th Birthday!

Carter turned the big #9 on July 10th.  It was a highly anticipated day for him.  He got a fun car set, star wars legos and books about football and animals.  He also got permission to buy his own gerbils which he has BEGGED for for many years now.  Unfortunately, because of our many trips since his birthday he was just barely able to fulfill that dream.  He bought 2 gerbils -- black & blonde with red eyes -- along with a fun cage for them with lots of room to roam and they seem to like it. 

Carter is an awesome guy.  He is so talented and fun.  One of his goals this summer was to earn the 101% Warrirors Workout Award from his football team.  The kids had a set workout that they had to do 4 times a week for 6 weeks.  The first week was tough but Carter stuck it out and he can do it with ease now.  I'm proud of his determination and perseverance.

We had an fun cake and icecream get-together that evening with our Stephenson cousins, Grandma & Grandpa Matheson and our friends, the Rodgers family.  Happy Birthday C-Dog!
