One Great Week

Congrats to Carter who won the sportsmanship award for his team at his flag football game this Saturday!!!  He also made his debut as quarterback and threw two touchdown passes.  It was a fun game to watch.  We were glad that Grandma Matheson was able to come watch the big game with us especially since Dad couldn't be there because he was helping at a fundraiser for a family in our neighborhood who lost their home in a fire -- yay Dad too!

Camille literally made great strides this week as well when she took her first unassisted step.  She's pretty proud of herself although she really hasn't made it past step one before falling.  Maybe she'll make it to step two next week.  Her bottom two teeth made an appearance this week as well.  Up to this point she's been toothless and one of her favorite things to do is to chew on my chin.  I think it's time to break that habit.  She'll have to stick with her second favorite of giving me raspberries on my neck instead.

Today (Sunday), Bradley, Carter & Lydia all did an outstanding job in the Primary Program.  They remembered their parts and spoke them with confidence.  Bradley tried out his mini-muffin tin that he got for his birthday and made us cupcakes for dessert tonight.  He's becoming a great baker and Lydia made a great assistant.

On Thursday I hosted a lunch/birthday party for my good friend Cyndi Mullenaux.  We did have to ask her to refrain from wearing ASU apparel to our home in the future.  Maybe it did some good though because UofA actually won their game against UCLA and Alex made several spectacular plays at the ward softball game that night.

On Tuesday when I took Eve to her Joy School (preschool) she asked if she could take her stroller and doll to school with her.  Anticipating that it could cause sharing issues during play time I told her no.  Then she looked at me with her sweetest face and said, "Mom, su let me take it to school and it would make my heart sooo happy."  She had a happy heart that day.
