St. David

Like father, like daughter. The Sunday festivities wore out both Alex and Camille.

Monday we did an early celebration of Eve's birthday so she could share it with her Kartchner cousins (minus the Welkers who ditched us for Disneyland).

When Aunt Dixie came to our house a few months back she told Lydia to be sure and visit the next time she came to St. David. Lydia was very excited to do exactly that and traipsed down there with her other girl cousins in tow. They had a great time -- who doesn't at Aunt Dixie's!?! It was fun to see them all walk back home hand-in-hand. Seeing that trail from a child's perspective again brought back a lot of fun memories for me.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch . . . Karina kept the boys happy with a rousing round of roping.

Before we left, the kids wanted to have a little fun at the pond and of course everyone wanted to ride the 4-wheeler with Grandpa Paul so they all jumped on and slowly made their way down the fields. I'd like to see them try this again in 20 years.

Camille took a liking to Aunt Erica. I like to think it's because she shares my same good looks.
