It's been a good week -- busy but fun to be doing things together.
Monday we recovered from the weekend.
Tuesday I had a visiting teaching visit and then we made our weekly library run and splurged on McDonalds sundaes rather than the usual cones. Our friends Trey & Aiden came with us. Carter was visited by Grandma Matheson in her official capacity as a member of the primary presidency along with Sister Kutchinsky to orient him to cub scouts. Carter turns 8 in a week and he's very excited about that. Lydia and Eve got to spend some time at Grandma Matheson's house and Brad & Carter did some filing for Alex at the office. Brad had a good time that evening playing dodgeball at scouts.
On Wednesday the boys had piano lessons. They are both doing great. Lydia went to play at her friend, Kylee's. That night was a bridal shower for our family friend, Kari Hardt. Since the shower was at the Clare's who live two doors down and Alex wasn't home quite yet, the older kids were very excited to get to stay home alone and watch a movie.
Thursday, the Clare's gave Carter their bullfrog tadpole. They warned us that it wasn't looking very healthy but he wanted it anyways. He named him Shoemaker. Julie checked a bunch of things off her to-do list.
Friday, the kids got to play with the Stephensons while Alex & I went with our friend Silvia to the family history center and then the temple. Shoemaker died -- sorry Carter. The stomach bug made the rounds in our family but luckily it was short-lived.
Saturday, Lydia got to go to the birthday party for her friend Payton. She had a wonderful time. Julie worked on putting our home to rights and Alex and the kids went swimming at G&G Matheson's. Camille learned how to scoot herself forward rather than backward on her little belly. She's also extremely talented in the clapping & smiling categories.
