St. David and Los Angeles

Saturday, the day after Christmas we went to St. David for a quick visit. We enjoyed opening our presents from both our Kartchner & Blanchard grandparents. It was fun to gather with cousins on Sunday at Aunt Dixie's house. We got to see Aunt Dixie & Uncle Glen, Aunt Shella & Uncle Rob, Tyson & Jen, Tanya & Casey, Karen, Joel and all their assorted children. Eldon and his kids along with cousin Madison drove in from Colorado. They all looked exhausted but it was good to visit with them for a short while. Monday we drove home to Queen Creek and got ready for yet another trip -- this time to California. Tuesday we drove to Los Angeles and arrived just in time to have dinner with our wonderful friends, the Barbosa's. Gabriel, Augusto, Clara, Patty & Victor are moving to New Zealand in April. We're so glad we got to see them at least one more time before they take off. Alex enjoyed brushing up on his Portuguese and Brad, Carter & Lydia had a fun time playing in the park by their house and remembering when we used to live in California.

We also enjoyed a quick visit to some of our other favorite places -- a drive-by of Bradley's first school (Clover Elementary) and our old apartment and the LA temple complete with Christmas lights. We wish we'd had more time to spend visiting all the other people and places we love.
