Veteran's Day Parade

Carter and Lydia -- they really do love eachother -- they just sometimes forget.

We had a wonderful time at the Veteran's Day Parade in Anthem. We got to watch the parade with the Mulleneaux's, Stephenson's, cousin Erin Suah and Grandparents and Great-Grandparents Matheson. The parade was really neat -- a good moment to reflect on the sacrifice that so many have made so that we can have freedom. Having our own family veterans there, Grandpa Mac (WWII) and Grandpa Rod (Vietnam) Matheson, made it even more special.
Gma Ouida May, Gpa Rod, Gpa Mac, Gma Norma Matheson & Emmeline Stephenson watch the parade.

After the parade the kids wanted to see the blackhawk helicopter they had in the park nearby. Eve, John-David and Bradley give it a try.

Allison tries out the driver's seat.

Carter actually got it off the ground -- the bag of fool's gold he's holding -- not the helicopter.

Looks fun. And warm. We missed the touch a truck event this year, but the helicoptor is always the favorite. Nice job on your red riding hood cape, by the way. You look fabulous!
