Halloween 2009

Brad (Darth Vader) and Sir Carter (a knight).

We had a fun Halloween. The Monday before the big day was the annual party at the Lee's. Alex, Julie, Bradley & Carter all made a valiant effort in the doughnut on a string competition. Isabella's inhale-the-doughnut method was extremely effective. We'll have to ask her for some tips for next year. Halloween was on Saturday this year and our ward had a trunk-or-treat that night. Before the festivities we were able to trick-or-treat at Grandpa Mac & Grandma Ouida May Matheson's home. We had a wonderful visit with them. Brad & Carter spent their time with Grandpa's marvelous marble machine and Lydia loved Grandma's toy drawers. Eve was fascinated by both organ and piano and Grandma helped her try them out.
Tinkerbell Eve and Lydia. When Eve first tried on this costume a few months ago she cried and wanted it off immediately. When I tried it on again at Halloween she spent a few minutes admiring herself in the mirror and then wanted to wear it the rest of the day.

Grandma and the girls again.

Brad, Lydia, Julie, Alex & Carter. This is the post trunk-or-treat picture -- notice Carter's face. Eve fell asleep before the trunk or treat so we left her sleeping happily at home with Grandparents(Norma & Rod) Matheson. Julie was finally Little Red Riding Hood this year. After 4+ years of trying (I bought the red fabric in Oregon) I actually completed the cape and then made Alex wear his Chandler Wolves jacket. Get it . . . Red Riding Hood . . . the Wolf . . . .
