74 degrees vs. 114 degrees = No Brainer

Kurtis, Audra & Preston Welker show off their new bikes. Brad brought his bike as well and they all enjoyed biking with Grandma Sue.
On July 11th, the day after Carter's illustrious birthday, we headed to Grandma Sue & Grandpa Paul's cabin in Alpine. The Burgess's had arrived the night before and our kids had a great time getting reacquainted. Uncle Alan, Uncle Devon, Aunt Karina, G-ma & G-pa were there as well and then the Welkers (sans Uncle Grant) joined us on Monday. Everyone headed their separate ways on Thursday. It was a wonderful week and we were almost as happy to miss the Phoenix Valley heat wave as we were to see family.
Erica & Marla work on a giant puzzle we made for Uncle Jeff.

Lydia & Callie Burgess "dance at the ball". The two princesses had a great time together.

Lydia, Uncle Devon & Callie. The girls made "magic wands" out of K'nex pieces.

Preston, Eve & Brad try out the porch swing.

Pretty Lydie

Eve attempts to exit the front porch the quick way -- straight down.

We give you two thumbs up too, Aunt Karina.

The ever-faithful Rio & Hank guarded the cabin from marauding squirrels and hummingbirds and did their part to tidy up the ground after lunches.

Trevor Burgess and his winning smile.

Alex spent Monday afternoon making a catapault. He and Eve give it a go.

Uncle Alan shows us the bear track on the side of the truck. He swears it's real. Alan had to head back to work on Sunday night. He was sorely missed.

Chad and Erica. What started with the Foxtrot continues on the porch swing

Callie & Lydia were so excited the first night when they realized that they had matching pajamas.

Uncle Alex entertains with a bedtime story. Carter, Trevor, Alex, Brayden, Audra, Callie & Lydia (clockwise from left).
